    The Autumn Embertide falls on September 15th, 17th, & 18th and ushers in The Fall. Friday the 17th is an OBLIGATORY DAY OF ABSTINENCE (ie no meat) for all members of the Ordinariate. We fast and pray these days for vocations, especially to the Priesthood.

    The "Boy Bishop" is chosen on the feast of St. Nicholas to urge boys to the Priesthood and to remind clergy of the need for humility. The boy used to take the priest's seat at the Magnificat, "He hath put down the mighty from their seat, * and hath exalted the humble and meek."
